LET’S JUST SLEEP
Are you having difficulty going to sleep? Sleep problems are usually created because of worry that you aren’t going to be able to go to sleep. Then you end up trying to go to sleep, which interferes with the natural mechanisms of going to sleep. Sleep is a natural process. There is a time for everything. There is a time to work and a time to play, a time to eat and a time to sleep. Allow yourself a time to sleep and don’t try to do other things, like solve problems. Tonight just go to bed, get in a comfortable position for sleep and close your eyes. Then just lay there with your eyes closed and just let your mind wander and drift. Just enjoy your thoughts, but stubbornly refuse to try to solve problems or open your eyes. Sleep is a natural process and you will go to sleep at the right time. Don’t worry about sleeping, if your are laying there with your eye lids closed, you are resting. Just enjoy it; lay there easily enjoying your thoughts. Gently allow your mind to wander and drift wherever it might want to go--just enjoy being awake with nothing else to do and lots of time. The next thing you know, it’s morning and time to rise.
