Most of your body weight is genetically determined and relates to your body style. However, there is a percentage of your body weight that you do have an influence over.
The only way that we know to responsibly influence our body weight is change what and how much we eat and exercise more. The key to losing weight and keeping it off is lifestyle change.
Research simply shows that fad diets and pills don’t work, and surgery and tummy tucks are too invasive. If you want to influence your body weight the only thing that makes sense is to change the way you eat and exercise. Those are behaviors. So weight loss becomes a behavioral issue as much as a food issue. Behavior is influenced by your thoughts and how you handle your emotions.
Our weight loss program is designed to assist you in becoming mentally, behaviorally and emotionally comfortable with your ideal body weight, as your relationship with food and your relationship with exercise changes. You will learn how your thoughts and beliefs influence your health, weight, energy levels and behaviors.
A common theme is that a person wants to lose weight in order to feel better about his or her self. Our experience shows that plan to be fraught with self-sabotage. The truth is you will never lose weight until you feel comfortable with yourself. A program emphasis is placed on becoming internally comfortable with yourself regardless of your weight. Losing weight is a worthwhile goal and will help you feel better, have more energy and you will likely be healthier.
Our program begins with an evaluation session. Following your evaluation a program will be constructed and you will begin your quest of becoming the master of your weight. We will stay with you throughout your journey and even provide reinforcement sessions after you have achieved your goal.
